Ditchling has some of the poorest broadband coverage in the area despite its prime commuter belt position in the heart of mid-Sussex, less than 10 miles from Brighton and 50 miles from London, as well as its concentration of self employed individuals and SMEs.  We are amongst the last 4% of consumers in East Sussex to receive superfast broadband.

At best, we currently have 7-8mbps download broadband speed. Superfast broadband is a minimum of 24mbps so we're getting around a third of the potential service.  As a consequence, many of us find working from home difficult and accessing services like HD television and live streaming largely impossible.  

BT has been promising to roll out superfast broadband in Ditchling for getting on for five years, with delivery dates repeatedly being pushed back.

BT say that if enough residents demand it, we will get it - so here goes! This is your chance to influence BT to take action. If you would like to secure superfast broadband in your home or premises, please do the following:
