Hi and thanks to everyone who signed! This Change.org petition has almost reached 16,000 signatures. But here’s the truth:
Parliament won’t accept this petition. Only an official Parliamentary Petition—which I’ve launched with MP Moira Deeming—can be read, recorded in Hansard, and debated in Parliament.
To date, 5110 Victorians signed because they know this is the one that matters. It’s the only way we can formally object to the statue for disgraced ex-premier, Dan Andrews.
🔒 WHAT’S LABOR HIDING?
Moira and I have asked Premier Jacinta Allan for answers:
– Has work started or finished on the statue?
– How much taxpayer money is being spent?
– Where will it be located?
She refused to answer—even though the Premier is legally required to. Labor knows the public won’t support this, so they’ll likely hide the statue behind gates at Parliament, away from view. Dan Andrews gets a shrine and the last laugh. You get the bill.
Please, help stop this. If you signed here, please take one more step. If everyone who signed this petition signs the official petition, we can go to Parliament and argue to stop the statue.
Deep down, you know Dan Andrews doesn’t deserve a $100,000 bronze statue––at our expense.
Sign the official Parliamentary petition now—then share it.
