Sign petition and stop sending remittances to Pakistan
The Issue
Background:
We can not send money to a banana republic where judicial system has been given under the government control.
Generally, overseas Pakistanis are estimated to send around $23.1 billion in remittances annually, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). This money significantly contributes to the country's economy. However, concerns are growing about how these remittances are used within the country and their potential implications for corruption and misuse. Therefore, it is crucial to assess and limit these financial flows until more robust oversight is attained. We urge the government to initiate investigations into the use of these funds, ensuring that they contribute to the people’s welfare rather than fostering corruption. Sign this petition today, prompting a more accountable and transparent financial system.
How will we build pressure?
- We will share statistics of this petition with IMF.
- We will add more demands if current demands are not met.
We will not send remittances to Pakistan until following demands are met;
Demand 1: Revoke 26th amendment 2024
Demand 2: Revoke Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill, 2024.
Demand 3: Revoke Pakistan Navy (Amendment) Bill, 2024.
Demand 4: Revoke Supreme Court (Number of Judges) (Amendment) Bill, 2024.
Demand 5: Revoke Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) (Amendment) Bill, 2024.
Demand 6: Revoke Islamabad High Court (Amendment) Bill, 2024.
If current demands are not met then we will start an aggressive advertisement of this boicott and demand removal of General Asim Munir.
