AIA Canada continues to actively fight for Right to Repair legislation.  Thanks to you, who care passionately about where your vehicle data goes, right to repair legislation is being actively considered by Federal decision makers in Canada.

With a new Government in place post-Election, recently tabled legislation, and Ministerial mandate letter commitments referencing the right to repair, momentum is building. As such, we have taken the additional step of filing a petition to bring our message forward to Canada’s House of Commons. Today, petitions constitute one of the most direct means of communication between the people and Parliament. Our petition has been sponsored by MP Brian Masse (NDP, Windsor West) and is now open for signature!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Please help us continue to amplify the message - your voice is an extension of our voice. In order to have this petition tabled in Parliament, we need your help to obtain at least 500 signatures. Once we reach 500 signatures, the next steps will include the tabling of the petition in the House of Commons, after which the government must issue a response.

Please consider making yourself heard directly by federal politicians on this issue by SIGNING the House of Commons petition today – it takes less than 30 seconds.

You can sign the petition here: https://petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-4000.

The petition will remain open until June 3rd, 2022.

Further, please take a few minutes to SHARE the petition within your networks, which will help spread the word even further and pressure decision-makers to make change happen.

Your support is greatly appreciated! THANK YOU for continuing to fight to give vehicle owners across Canada access to and control of the data generated by their vehicles.
