The Issue

Mr. Mansour Al Hashemi, the director of operations at the Kuwait Airport, has put a restriction on how many animals can fly out of Kuwait with a passenger from their airport. I am a concerned citizen of the USA who has witnessed the heart-wrenching sight of animals being dumped and left to suffer on the streets of Kuwait. This is not just an isolated incident, but a daily occurrence. The restrictions placed by Kuwait airport on passengers flying with their pets is making the problem worse. Currently, each passenger is allowed to fly with only one animal. This policy is causing distress for both pet owners and animals alike.

According to data from PAWS (Protection of Animal Welfare Society), there has been an alarming increase in abandoned pets in recent years. The inability for individuals relocating or traveling long-term to take all their pets along contributes significantly to this problem.

By allowing passengers at the Kuwait airport to fly with as many pets as the airline can fit, we can reduce the number of animals left behind and suffering on their streets. It's time we changed this policy and showed compassion towards our furry friends.

We urge you, as responsible citizens who care about animal welfare, to sign this petition urging authorities at the Kuwait airport to review their regulations regarding flying with pets. Your signature can make a difference in the lives of countless innocent creatures who deserve better treatment and care.

Please respectfully share your concerns to mm.alhashemi@dgca.gov.kw
