Dear AB 2125 Supporters
If you're near the City of Alameda tomorrow, Asian Health Services, the California Healthy Nail Salon Collaborative and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency are having a press conference to launch a new pilot loan program for nail salons to become healthy nail salons.
This is a new program AHS and the Collaborative are doing in partnership with Community Development Financial Institutions to provide zero interest microloans to help provide nail salons the cash flow to overcome some of the initial costs to being certified Healthy Nail Salons.
The press conference will happen tomorrow, Wednesday, November 30 10:30am -11:30am at Leann's Nails, 1612 Webster in Alameda.
Leann's Nails was one of the first salons certified under Alameda County's Healthy Nail Salon Recognition Program, and the owner Lanh-Anh Truong will be commenting on how becoming a healthy nail salon have helped her business and her workers.
We hope to see you there, and as always, since our advocacy efforts on AB 2125, if you'd like to remain involved you can do so by joining our (1) email list: http://eepurl.com/bLwadb (2) Following us on Social Media
