#AB2125 "The Healthy Nail Salon Act" passed its second policy committee. Yesterday the Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials unanimously voted 7-0 on AB 2125. Similar to the Health Committee another delegation of advocates, nail salon community members and partner organizations stuff with us at the hearing. Next stop: The Assembly Appropriations Committee We expect the opposition to be fiercer moving forward especially when the discussions are geared to budget so we need to keep pushing. If you live or work in one of their assembly districts, call the member's office and ask the member to help make nail salons healthier for workers and consumers by voting "yes" on AB 2125.
