We are calling on the Victoria Airport Authority to permanently suspend the proposed Amazon warehouse. 

Amazon is notorious for treating its employees very poorly. Amazon workers are forced to urinate in bottles and defecate in bags as they are not given proper bathroom breaks. Amazon workers are worked to the bone for low wages and no benefits. Amazon purposely has a high turn over rate so they do not have to give employees benefits after working for the company for a certain amount of time. Amazon has killed thousands of small business across the globe, including here in Victoria.

An Amazon warehouse has been approved to be built next to the Victoria Airport (YYJ). This warehouse will kill many small businesses on the Southern Island. It will greatly increase traffic on the Pat Bay Highway and surrounding areas. It will be a huge eyesore in the beautiful town of Sidney.

Victoria and its surrounding communities will be hurt by the welcoming of this corporate giant. Amazon's values are not aligned with the values of working people and the citizens of Victoria. We must band together and stop Amazon from establishing its oppressive ways on Vancouver Island.
