Joshua Conant was wrongfully murdered outside of the Roche Bar in downtown Port huron November 2023, after he was held down by several bar bouncers. Video of the incident that spread on social media showed a Port Huron police officer handcuffing Conant before determining he was unresponsive. 

It was later determined that Joshua had already passed from being held down by the bouncers, the police knew and they decided to handcuff him anyway! 
 
While Josh was still handcuffed, hands behind his back… Police/responder THEN rolled him over, and made an unsuccessful, and very sloppy attempt to resuscitate him. Improper CPR all the way around. 
 It took EMS 20+ minutes to get to the scene, there are multiple stations around this area within a 4 minute drive. HOW? 
All officers involved in responding to the Roche Bar on Nov. 4 have since returned to active duty. Not a single person has been held accountable for Josh’s murder. Shameful. 
Port Huron residents have been critical of the police department, making statements at a city council meeting that the officer should face discipline for handcuffing Conant before assisting him. There have also been calls for the bouncers who pinned Conant down to face prosecution.
There are many questions left unanswered. A life was lost. We can continue to fight for justice in his name. 
I am calling on members of our community to sign this petition asking our City Council members to revoke the Roche Bar’s liquor license. There are rumors that Roche Bar is planning on opening back up soon… 
NO BUSINESS AS USUAL! Shut it down for Josh.
