As a long-time volunteer for reputable animal rescue organizations, I have witnessed firsthand the tireless efforts of those who genuinely care for animals. However, there is an entity in our community that is undermining these efforts - a so-called 501c3 "rescue" that is nothing more than a puppy mill. This organization imports puppies from southern states while our local New Jersey shelters are overcrowded and dogs are being euthanized.

This operation solicits donations under the guise of providing veterinary care and spay/neuter services which they do not provide. Every weekend, they sell sick dogs at Petco for an adoption fee. Unsuspecting adopters end up spending thousands of dollars on veterinary bills to treat their newly adopted pets infested with parasites, pneumonia, hematomas, kennel cough, etc and before they are spayed or neutered.

Petco has allowed this situation to reach dire proportions that not only affects innocent animals but also unsuspecting adopters who believed they were helping by adopting from ECPC. The actions of this organization discredit rescues who are fighting every day to save animal lives.

It's time we put an end to this unethical practice in Ocean County, NJ. By signing this petition, you're calling on local authorities to investigate and shut down this fraudulent operation masquerading as an animal rescue service.
