The ones impacted most are the hamsters themselves tiny, voiceless animals being used for content under the TikTok account @the_hamster_rave. They are crammed into one cage, overcrowded, forced to live in chaotic environments, and treated more like background props than living creatures. As viewers, many of us feel uncomfortable, angry, and helpless watching this happen and the creator continues without remorse. If nothing is done, more hamsters will continue to suffer. We’ve seen what appears to be a dead or dying hamster left in the background of a video. We’ve seen dozens of them trample over each other for food, live in overstimulated cages, and be used for nonstop entertainment. This is not responsible pet care it is cruelty disguised as content. If TikTok allows this to continue, it sets a dangerous precedent for how animals are treated online. Every day this continues, more hamsters are at risk. The creator has openly stated they “all live in that cage until they get fried.” That is not a joke it’s an admission of neglect. We cannot wait for another animal to suffer or die before action is taken. TikTok must be held accountable, and animal protection groups need to step in. These hamsters deserve safety, peace, and respect. And they need it now. We are calling on TikTok’s Trust & Safety team
