Hi, I'm a Minnesota citizen that is deeply disturbed and heartbroken by the inhuman treatment and conditions that animals endure at SeaQuest Aquarium in Roseville, MN. This is unacceptable and simply – it is animal abuse!

The SeaQuest company should be shut down as a whole considering animal abuse, neglect and mistreatment spans across their other locations. However, the focus of this petition is the Roseville MN location specifically.

There are many articles, reviews and posts available through a simple search that highlight many of the horrors these poor helpless animals endure. One that sticks out is an article written by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). It states: 

"PETA has received an inspection report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) revealing that SeaQuest Roseville did the following:

-Kept animals in hazardous enclosures
-Failed to clean up accumulated mouse feces
-Allowed flies to swarm around animals’ food
-Let animals go months without regular visits from a veterinarian"

Trip Advisor reviews for the Roseville location elaborate. One being: "This place is the most disgusting place for animals I’ve ever seen. The enclosures are too small, the animals are living in horrible conditions and is just a display of animal torture". Attached was this picture:

Another review states: "This place was dirty for humans and animals. One of the tanks held two very large fish in a very crowded space with many other smaller fish and the water was green and murky. The shark tank had two dead sharks lying on the viewing roof. Pigs, sloth, wallabies and tortoise were all in very dirty pens. Cobwebs hung from the ceilings and the smell was terrible. It was an all together sad and unpleasant visit".

These aren't the only reviews from concerned citizens, and I urge you to read some others. This kind of abuse is simply unacceptable and cruel. These animals deserve better.

Would you allow your pet to stay at a kennel overnight if you knew they were treating your pet the way these animals at SeaQuest are being handled? 

I urge everyone reading this petition to take a stand against such dehumanizing and brutal treatment of animals. It is time we strengthen our voice against SeaQuest and get it shut down. For the love of animals, for humanity, and for justice, please, sign this petition. Let's give these animals a voice, they deserve one!
