As a deeply committed community of animal lovers, we have seen firsthand the appalling conditions and neglect that rescue dogs suffer at River City Bark and Park. Despite claims of being “foster based,” these defenseless animals are crammed into crates for 23 hours a day, only granted freedom for brief bathroom breaks.

Beyond these deplorable living conditions, there are glaring issues regarding its operation. The owner unlawfully resides in a commercially zoned building, and despite numerous complaints, authorities have yet to intervene. People bring their pets in for structured play, which does not happen. All photos posted are edited or modified with AI programs. The dogs are put in rooms alone if they are bothersome to the owner. Moreover, staff salaries have been mishandled, leading to bounced checks and consequent financial hardship for the employees.

The owners deceit extends to the public as well. Many hoping to adopt are provided false information about the dogs, and public donations, intended for the welfare of these animals, are being misappropriated. This exploitation of the kind-hearted public, who offer their support under the belief they are aiding these animals, is unacceptable.

With this petition, we appeal to local authorities to shut down River City Bark and Park, based on the unsanitary conditions, poor animal care, violation of zoning regulations, and financial mismanagement demonstrated by the owner. We implore all empathetic animal lovers to join us in this cause. The wellbeing of these dogs and the integrity of our community depends on your action. Please, sign this petition and help these voiceless creatures receive the care they deserve.
