Shut Down LoSacco's Just Pups, Abusive Dog Breeder Paramus NJ 67 dogs/no water/38 degrees
The Issue
Paramus NJ ~ Authorities said that around 3 a.m., Paramus police officers found 67 dogs, some covered in feces, crammed into small metal crates inside a white 2002 Freightliner Sprinter van parked behind Just Pups on Route 17 south.
The police heard crying and whining as they approached the van. Many crates were too small for dogs to stand up.
The van was registered to Vincent LoSacco, whose store, Just Pups, has complaints of animal cruelty and unsanitary conditions.
LoSacco, whose business license for his East Brunswick shop was revoked last week, said Monday evening that the van the puppies were kept in was a “customized transport van that is isolated and temperature controlled.” The van, he said, was holding puppies transported to the Paramus store from his breeding kennel in Missouri.
The van's temperature was 38 degrees, and the dogs were covered in feces and urine. 67 dogs, many puppies, were rescued & taken to Oradell Animal Hospital. Some dogs have viruses. Now 67 dogs are hoping to be placed by Tyco Animal control.
With dogs in shelters by the millions, this man needs to have his business license revoked.
