Proverbs Ville Christian School in Davao City, Philippines, has become a place of pain rather than learning for many of its students. As a concerned community member, I've watched in dismay as our children suffer neglect and mistreatment at the hands of those who should be nurturing and protecting them. This situation is unacceptable, and urgent measures are necessary to protect our children.

The troubling environment at Proverbs Ville is marked by a lack of support from teachers, who often neglect their students, leaving them to fend for themselves in hostile situations. Bullying runs rampant, and rather than acting as mediators and protectors, the teaching staff remains frustratingly inactive. This failure is further compounded by a student government that engages in power tripping, creating a toxic atmosphere of fear and oppression instead of one of leadership and support.

Adding insult to injury is the problematic role of the school's principal, president, and founder, Victoria Supan. Instead of setting an example of compassion and accountability, she has reportedly been known to silence critics and harass those who dare to speak against the wrongdoing within the institution. Victims of bullying are blamed rather than uplifted, discouraging them from seeking help and reinforcing a culture of silence and victimization.

Schools should be sanctuaries for growth and development, fostering an environment where every student feels valued, safe, and respected. The current state of Proverbs Ville Christian School indicates a dire failure in providing such an environment. Parents, students, and community members have raised these issues repeatedly, only to be ignored or dismissed.

The time for complacency is over. We must demand the closure of Proverbs Ville Christian School until thorough investigations and reforms are enacted to ensure the well-being of its students. We cannot stand by as our children’s education and emotional well-being are compromised any longer.
