A pet store located at South Park Mall is abusing animals. Pick of the Litter is a small store that abuses their animals. The cats are in glass walls with around triple the amount that should be in there.Shut them down and rescue the animals. They need to either get a bigger store and appropriate rooms for animals NOT FISH TANKS. This is unfair to these animals. No excuses shut them down. 

These small tanks that are about the size of a small bathroom are holding around 20 cats. With only 1 bowl of water and food. There are cat trees in these tanks but they get no exersise. There are also small cages in the middle of the room that have around a dozen cats in a dog cage. 

A puppy with hydrocephalus (water on the brain) sold by this store. Common in puppy mill dogs, causes severe neurological problems.

 This is the fish tank they keep three German shepherds in. They can barely turn around in these tanks.

It's also not just cats being abused. They also have a variety of dogs and rodents. The smaller puppy's are kept in glass fish tanks built into the wall, they look to be around 20 gallon tanks. Again a small amount of food and water. Along with a small amount of food these tanks are full of hamster wood bedding. Wood chips and fluff are the base of their tanks.

No clean water. These dogs are eating their bedding when they drink. This is horrible for living conditions. And causes lots of issues later in life.

Eyes are filled with mucus and swollen red. She looked like she was drugged. A very small amount of space for these puppies. The bedding in these tanks is very toxic to dogs, and bad for development. Along with wood boxes also in the middle of the room there are larger puppies that also have the same bedding. The dogs kept in these are able to jump out.

These puppies have zero exercise room and are so crammed in these fish tanks.

All of these dogs sleep and live in fish tanks.

A response to a warrant for Pick of the Litter shows, "The freezer portion was filled with deceased animals wrapped in plastic bags. We removed them and counted 13 animals including five cats, four dogs, three rabbits, and one guinea pig."

Many dogs have jumped out and fallen they usually end up with a limp. In the back of the store it's the same thing.  

All of these dogs look sick and unhappy, all living in fish tanks.

All the dogs have the same bedding. They are in wooden cages that are small and have short walls. Under the register there are more fish tanks with rodents. They have guinea pigs and hamsters, bunnies, etc. 

These cats are stuck in a fish tank with no room to exercise and climb.

They also have the same bedding the dogs do, very cheap. This needs to be stopped, it's a puppy mill. Many rescue facilities have been working for years to get this shut down. The South Park mall has the chance to kick them out but, the mall is just happy to have someone be in the store, so they don't exactly care about what's going on even with the many reports.

A few years ago a female rottweiler was rescued once she was unable to be breed. This is not ok, these young animals don't deserve to be treated like this. The store has denied all of the claims to animals abuse making it harder for rescues to close them. So we ask for your help to shut this place down and stop the animal suffering.
