I am a pet owner living in Omaha, Nebraska. Every day, I feel fortunate to provide a safe, caring environment for my beloved animals. However, the conditions at our local PetsRUs store are nothing short of tragic. Animals are living in appalling conditions, with clear signs of neglect. As someone who adores their pets, I can't bear the thought of these animals enduring such hardship.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) says that more than 6.5 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year, with a majority coming from stores like PetsRUs. Despite this, neglect and abuse persist in establishments like the one situated in Omaha, Nebraska.

Our local PetsRUs continues to fall short on basic animal care standards. Residents who have reported sub-par living conditions, inadequate nutrition, and lack of veterinary treatment are ignored, while the shop remains in operation.

This lack of respect for animal welfare is unacceptable. We cannot stand by as innocent creatures of the community are subjected to horrendous conditions. It is for this reason that I implore you to take immediate action. Our community deserves a pet store that aligns with our values, treats animals with the care they deserve, and follows the guidelines set out by the ASPCA.

Let's stand together for the defenseless among us. Let's shut down PetsRUs in Omaha due to animal neglect. Please, sign the petition. Stand for the rights of these innocent animals and demand better for them.
