The Issue

In our neighborhood in Biltmore in Elizabethton at 1039 Bristol Hwy next to sunshine market , a seemingly innocent thrift store called "Something different bargain store" has become a hub of danger and deceit. Run by a known violent child sexual predator whose name is Harvey Rose this store masquerades as an ordinary second-hand shop, but possibly with a sinister motive. To entice young children, the shop predominantly advertises and sells toys, creating a false sense of security for unsuspecting families it has no running electricity run only by a generator and keeps many dogs inside that are in not taken cared of starving and cold and the smell inside is unbearable.

This is not just about protecting our neighborhood; it's about safeguarding the innocence and wellbeing of every child who might unknowingly fall victim to this dangerous situation. A community that turns a blind eye to such a threat is a community complicit in the potential harm of its most vulnerable.

Statistics show that convicted child predators are highly likely to re-offend, especially when presented with opportunities that align with their past behaviors. It is imperative to act proactively, rather than reactively, to ensure the safety of our children.

Our proposal is straightforward: shut down the thrift store operated by this predator. Collaborate with local authorities to revoke the store's license if they even have one its my understanding that they dont but also arrest this man for violating by selling toys and not reporting all the different vehicles he has , thus eradicating the danger it poses. We urge the city council and local law enforcement to take immediate action and the landlord of this property to immediately evict them . Your signature on this petition is a step towards protecting our community and purging it of those who would do our children harm. Let's stand up and ensure our neighborhood remains a safe, welcoming place for families.

Sign this petition and be a part of the movement to preserve the safety of our children, ensuring they grow up in an environment free from fear and predation. Together, we can make a difference and push for a safer tomorrow.
