This organization presents itself as a rescue and trap-and-release operation focused on cats and kittens, but in reality, it operates under substandard conditions that compromise the safety, welfare, and health of these animals.

There have been numerous reports and firsthand accounts from concerned citizens and volunteers about the deplorable conditions these animals are kept in. Instead of finding a safe haven, cats and kittens at ETR are subjected to unsanitary and unsafe environments that put their health at risk. There are documented cases of neglect, where sick and injured animals do not receive the medical attention they urgently need. This is not just about inconvenience; this is about the suffering and endangerment of innocent lives.

Moreover, there are serious and troubling issues regarding the organization's practices related to donations and funding. Transparency is almost nonexistent, raising suspicions about how the public’s contributions are being used. We deserve to know where donations are going and to see tangible proof that these resources are being used ethically and efficiently to genuinely support animal welfare.

In contrast to what a rescue organization should stand for, ETR's operations have repeatedly failed to meet even the minimum standards of care. This can no longer be tolerated, and we must take action to ensure that animals receive the genuine care and respect they deserve. The very term "rescue" should not be used lightly, and certainly not by an establishment that fails to embody its principles.

Therefore, I urge local authorities and animal welfare organizations to conduct a thorough investigation into the operations and practices of Erie Trap And Release. If these violations are confirmed, we demand the permanent shutdown of ETR to prevent further harm to innocent animals and to protect the integrity of animal rescue missions everywhere.
