Turn off hand dryers as those with few symptoms carry the highest viral load

Thanks  for supporting and sharing this campaign. Yet more news has prompted a further update, this time a new paper published showing that people who test positive for the virus but don’t get admitted to hospital, (who may therefore be asymptomatic and out and about using public toilets), have a higher burden of viral load than those admitted to hospital. These are therefore more likely to create heavily infected aerosols if they use hand dryers. As the paper said “Patients with mild COVID-19 symptoms may represent the most important ‘overlooked’ source of shedding given the higher viral load.”

Do hope the government will see sense soon. In the meantime stay safe. Don’t use public washrooms with hand dryers.
