Apple Valley Shelter outside of LA has sent shockwaves through our hearts. It is not just a shelter; it is a death camp for innocent animals. This place has earned its reputation as the worst shelter in the country through its merciless and ruthless treatment of animals. We have been direct witnesses to this tragedy, having adopted three wonderful dogs from there—proving that these are indeed adoptable, amazing animals. Sadly, countless dogs do not get the same chance.

This shelter unjustly kills entire families of dogs, even those with adopters eagerly driving to save them. The staff actively discourage rescues from saving dogs in their care, imposing unreasonable demands, such as requiring spay and neuter certificates within 30 days, only to revoke their rights without justification.

Recent atrocities include the brutal killing of 10 dogs on a Saturday morning despite the expressed interest of three rescue organizations. This included Helga and her puppies—innocent lives snuffed out senselessly. These actions are beyond comprehension and paint a grim picture of the neglect and incompetence that plagues this shelter.

Each week, over 30 dogs meet an untimely death here. The situation is grave as there are numerous pending lawsuits against Apple Valley Shelter but justice will come too late for many more lives if we do not act now. The evidence is overwhelming, and we cannot stand by as this shelter continues its barbaric practices without consequence.

Our plea is simple—shut down Apple Valley Shelter immediately. We demand accountability, transparency, and the safe rehoming of all sheltered animals. There must be a halt to this inhumane treatment, and new protocols must be in place to ensure compassion and proper care for all animals.
