In India, incidents of attacks against cows are on the rise. Despite being a sacred animal, the cows are still subjected to cruelty. Cow was even attacked with acid.
In the state of Odisha, India two cows were found with their skins peeling off. Someone had thrown acid on the poor cows. The cows were found writhing in pain and suffering from severe burns.
In the state of Karmana, India another five cows were attacked by acid in the span of a week. All five suffered severe burns. Even worst the cows were strays who just happen to be passing by.
Thankfully all of the cows have received veterinary care and are expected to make a recovery. But the next cow that gets attacked by acid might not be so lucky and even if recovery is possible, the poor creature will still be scarred for life.
In India, acids are sold openly and with little to no regulation despite a ban that was enacted. Please sign and share, together we can urge the Indian government to end the sale of acid once and for all.
