Increase the length of Quade Roy Adams' sentence

The Issue

It is grossly inadequate that Quade Roy Adams, 22, of Station Road, Weston Rhyn near Oswestry has been sentenced to 12 weeks for violently killing a kitten and a puppy.

Such abuse of animals should not be tolerated in a humane civilised society and by giving Adams such a token custodial sentence, the Courts have effectively condoned his actions.

It is up to people to protect the rights of animals who cannot speak for themselves and who are defenceless in the face of monstrous violence. Furthermore, the sadistic treatment of animals has been strongly linked to psychopathic behaviours and suggests that Adams is a danger to society.

We would like to see a more appropriate punishment as the current ruling is tantamount to the Court's approval of Adams' actions. In addition to desiring a much lengthier sentence, we would also petition for a lifetime ban of animal ownership.
