As our archery community has grown, the need for an easily accessible outdoor range in East County has only increased. Currently, no public outdoor archery ranges exist in the East County of San Diego. 

An outdoor range provides a space for our community to go and support one another while working on personal growth and enjoying the sport. Currently, the only options to practice outdoor archery are in downtown San Diego and the South County, requiring significant travel to locations that are well utilized but not enough to fully support our growing community. An additional outdoor range would allow current and prospective athletes to have access to a practice range that serves the greater East County and beyond.

Archery is a sport that is accessible to a large amount of the population, as it serves ages 8 to 98 and is adaptable to many physical abilities and disabilities. Archery supports both the physical and mental health of the athlete. Outdoor archery is a safe, family-friendly, and inclusive sport. A facility accessible to the East County region would only bring more inclusivity and opportunities for the community of East County.
