Meewasin, presently under provincial funding review, is a world-class success because of the municipal, provincial and university partnership created in 1979. The goal of this partnership is to realize a 100 year plan for the river and its valley running through Saskatoon and Corman Park. 

Meewasin guides riverbank development ensuring preservation and public access to the valley and the river. It cultivates knowledge and pride in Saskatoon and Saskatchewan's natural and cultural heritage.
