stop selling calci-sand for use with bearded dragons and using it on shop bearded dragons

The Issue

calci-sand marketed as safe and digestable is becoming a major problem for bearded dragon rescuers and keepers all over the country. calci sand is calcium carbonate which is digestible in small amounts but it is a alkaline mineral which will neutralize the stomach acids. the lower acidity of the acids prevents food and further calci-sand from being digested causing impaction. added to this the granules clump when damp sticking to the walls of the digestive system further causing blockages. impaction if not caught early and sorted will lead to death and or high vet bills. if signers of this petition pledge to boycott shops selling this profduct for bearded dragons and keeping shop stock on this product we can hit the company where it hurts and get policy changed for the betterment of beardykind.
