We understand people fighting for more dog freedom on our beaches. However until the following issues are dealt with, laws are updated we oppose any further freedom in beaches or more beaches being made available for dog owners. Dog faeces are a problem everywhere on our beaches. People do not pick up after them. Dog attacking people or people that have allergies or fears for uncontrolled dogs. Dogs attacking other dogs. Dogs running up to people or kids. Shorebird protection orders are updated to massive fines for people who let dogs in these areas. People who do not control their dog. Ect. We can't control the beaches now let alone let them have more areas. People first. Safety first.
