To the President and Councillors of the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.

We, the undersigned, do respectfully request that as a matter of urgency Council to write to  the Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, with a copy to  Nola Marino MP, Member for Forrest, expressing our deep concern about the humanitarian crisis on Manus Island where hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers are stranded without access to basic amenities, provisions or safety, and plead with him to uphold the human rights and dignity of the refugees and asylum seekers, free them from the distressing situation they are trapped in at both Manus and Nauru and bring them to safety.
