Shift Miscarriage Support Regulations from Three to Two Incidents

Shift Miscarriage Support Regulations from Three to Two Incidents
The Issue
I am one of many who has experienced the profound hurt and grief of losing two pregnancies. Sadly, my story is not unique. The pain of not one, but two miscarriages, coupled with the lack of professional medical assistance is horrifyingly common. This is why I am stepping forward on behalf of myself and others going through this.
In the UK, women are officially deemed as suffering from recurrent miscarriages only after their third incident. It's after the third heartbreak that they are referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic or fertility clinic. However, after the second loss, women are already at a higher risk of suffering from another. We believe assistance and investigation should begin earlier.
This petition aims to change the existing health regulation, insisting on immediate specialist support after two recorded miscarriages, rather than the current three. Earlier intervention could potentially minimise future complications, aid in finding underlying issues and equally important - it could provide prompt psychological and emotional support for suffering women. Let's ensure no woman feels alone and helpless after suffering from a second miscarriage.
Please stand with us and advocate for a policy change that could provide appropriate help to those enduring such loss. Sign the petition and let's initiate this crucial reform to support women’s reproductive health and mental well-being.
