It is just over a year since Highlands and Islands MSP Rhoda Grant raised the case of her constituent, our sister, DeeAnn Fitzpatrick during First Minister's Questions at Holyrood.  She said: "The First Minister is aware of the case of my constituent DeeAnn Fitzpatrick, about whom I have previously written to her.  "She cannot be anything other than shocked at the photograph published by the BBC showing one aspect of DeeAnn's abuse."  

Nicola Sturgeon has said she is "absolutely horrified" by an image of a woman taped to a chair and gagged at a Scottish Government body and "Bullying, abuse, sexism, racism have no place in any workplace and let me be very clear today: they will not be tolerated within the Scottish Government or within our agencies.  

MSP Rhoda Grant again raised several examples in the parliamentary chamber on the 28th March 2019 detailing the abuse that lead up to the incident of our sister being taped and gagged.  There is over a decade of abuse that the Scottish Government does not want the public to know because the people involved in the bullying and harassment are employed as enforcement officers within Marine Scotland Compliance and human resources personnel.  Not one person has been held responsible for any of the abuse reported by MSP Rhoda Grant.  Instead since our family have spoken out that we will not tolerate our sister being subjected to any more abuse, the abuse has gotten worse for her.  I can only imagine what it would have been like for anyone working within Marine Scotland Compliance if they even tried to stand up to these bullies or make their human resources department aware of any ill doings.  What the Scottish Government, Marine Scotland Compliance and the human resources have done is they have sent a message to every employee within the Scottish Government departments that speaking up for yourself or someone that you see being bullied is not the way to deal with matters.  They are telling their employees to keep quiet, shut up and put up or you will go through exactly what our sister is going through now and that is hell.  

Assault is assault, no matter when and where it happened, our sister was assaulted and we will keep this campaign going until the people involved are held accountable.  Over a decade of abuse being swept under the carpet and that was the one thing that the First Minister said that she would not do but however that is exactly what is happening.  Do the First Minister think that the only thing that happened to our sister was being taped and gagged? There are over 50 incidents that were given to a top human resources member of staff and not one of these allegations were ever investigated.  Can anyone explain why these were not investigated?  The needs to be a stop to the abuse being hidden and those responsible held accountable.
