Many cosmetic companies have been testing make-up and other products on animals. There are many tests that are used on animals. For example skin and eye irritation. They rub these chemicals on the animal’s skin or drop it into their eyes. When they do this test there is no pain relief medication that they give the animals.

There are many other products that are tested on animals as well. For example skin cream, perfume, lipstick, nail polish, eye and facial makeup, shampoo, and hair color. Many people would agree that this is not okay and we need to put a stop to it. The United States should band cosmetic testing on animals. Many other countries have band cosmetic testing on animals, such as China, Brazil, Israel, and India. These tests can be very painful for these animals, and can even cause death. Imagine if labs tested cosmetic products on humans. This would clearly become band as soon as people were dying, so why do they allow testing these dangerous products on animals?

There are many steps we can take to band cosmetic testing on animals. There are many alternatives for testing products without testing them on animals. One alternative is testing cosmetics on donated skin. There are many people who get cosmetic surgery. Doctors are able to use the extra skin from the procedures and donate it to cosmetic testing labs. These labs then are able to test cosmetics on these pieces of skin instead of hurting animals.
