Friends--
In light of the killing of two more female black bears in the Tahoe region within the last week, we are now calling on Governor Steve Sisolak to completely reevaluate and reconceptualize Nevada's wildlife management practices, particularly when it comes to black bears.
To continue to follow our efforts for Nevada's black bears, please sign and share our newest petition: https://www.change.org/p/steve-sisolak-save-nevada-bears. In the petition, we ask Governor Sisolak to address four critical points: 1. Restructuring the presently special interest biased NV Wildlife Commission, 2. Reevaluate black bear management policies at NDoW, 3. Regulate NV Tahoe basin residents to ensure that they are practicing wildlife conflict avoidance techniques, and 4. End the cruel black bear trophy hunt.
Thank you for standing with CompassionWorks International as we continue our fight to protect wildlife both here in our home state of Nevada and around the world.
For the animals,
