Letter to Shelter Island Reporter Regarding the STR lawsuit

Dear Ambrose, 

I’m sure you were busy this week and thus let Mr. Frederick’s letter to the editor be published without fact checking. He refers to “two” STR lawsuits and erroneously states that both were thrown out by the court. As you know, to date there has been only one lawsuit regarding the STR law. As you also know, that lawsuit was voluntarily dismissed by the parties because the “new” STR law arguably mooted that lawsuit , which was based on the prior law enacted in 2017.  

Please issue the appropriate correction.
