Dear STR supporters,
We have reviewed our options regarding this terrible law—which now covers all rentals, not just short term, and requires date of all rentals—long and short—to be reported to the Town, with current C of Os, with imprisonment penalties. I have already heard stories and have experienced the heavy handed enforcement of this law. Of course the best outcome is changing the Board in November and repealing the law. But, as we all are painfully aware, elections are both unpredictable and have consequences. As you know, we voluntarily dismissed the litigation because it was based on the prior law. Our time to file a new litigation on the new law is October 17— a month away.
Of course, if the law is repealed, we will be refunded the monies not used to draft the complaint. But we don’t have the luxury of waiting for the law to be repealed.
If we don’t raise the money, there will be no lawsuit.

Requested Minimum Contribution: at least a two hundred and fifty dollar contribution—That amount is far less than what this law is now costing all of us!!
Those of you who have already contributed more than a thousand dollars —thank you, you’re good, please just come as we will be able to use the legal work your contribution paid for.
Those of you who can’t contribute two hundred and fifty, any amount is good, frankly, and you know your circumstances.
