Marion County desperately needs an animal shelter.  With only two city animal control holding areas with unmanned and outdated facilities at best and MARC fosters being exhausted and overwhelmed with the population, we need a shelter that can house and maintain a decent amount of animals and ideally be able to handle the needs to quarantine when needed. MARC does an amazing job but the need in this County is more than just fosters and that one organization can handle.
