A big thank you to everyone who signed and supported our community petition calling for safer, non-toxic weed management practices in Shell Cove. 💚
Our letter and petition with 306 signatures have now been formally submitted to Frasers Property and Shellharbour City Council. We’ve asked for:
✅ Independent testing of soil and water for glyphosate residues
✅ A transition to low-toxicity or mechanical weed control methods
✅ Full transparency about when and where herbicides are being sprayed
This is a positive step toward protecting our community, pets, and local waterways and ensuring Shell Cove remains the healthy, beautiful place we all love. We've asked for a response within 4 weeks.
