Sheffield's Labour Council block voted to take no further action, at last Wednesday's debate. A motion from opposition councillors to refer the matter for further scrutiny was defeated by their Labour counterparts. Cllr Fox’s words at Full Council, gave the impression that a Tree Strategy could be called for at any time. It is HIS job to commission it. ALL campaigners should put pressure on their local Councillors to press for a Tree Strategy at the next meeting of Full Council, and request that non-urgent felling is stopped until the strategy is ready for implementation.
