We need more than one voice, who live in Parsippany district. Please involve/share any parents who would agree with this petition.

We do not agree with the no food for birthday celebrations in school or the food restrictions for class parties. All food restrictions should be made on a class by class basis throughout the year." We are basically saying that we want to be able to celebrate our children's birthday's with whatever edible items we choose based on the classroom allergies and that all food restrictions throughout the year should be based on a class by class basis as well.

For Halloween petition,  Knollwood elementary school celebrates in the morning. It is not safe for the children,  we have multiple parents entering the building during morning arrival (close to 40 parents bum-rushing the office while children are still arriving at school), it also does not allow for any academics for the whole day, so while all of the other schools still get academics done on that day our school does not.

Our principal considers the day a wash. If all activities were in the afternoon we would be able to have morning academics with an afternoon of fun, those who do not celebrate the holiday would only miss a half day verse a whole day, and the food options would be more appropriate.

Board meeting is being held on Tuesday, August 17, 2018 at 6pm. So we would like to have petition filled with as many parents signatures.
