Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope that 2018 is filled with love, laughs and success for everyone to share! I am back again after a winter break to pick up where we left off. I am happy to tell you all that I am ready to start making headway again on the project of protecting the Dark Sky and getting people back involved. There have been a few articles that have been published over the last couple of weeks on Dark Sky protection and better lighting, but none more fitting the bill than that released by Norway and the auto dimming highway lights they have installed. The lighting is adaptive, turning on when it senses a vehicle, bike or pedestrian and then dims itself out when there is nothing around to light. This adaptive lighting system not only saves the Dark Sky from wasteful unneeded lighting but also saves electricity allowing for the lighting system to pay for itself in 5 years compared to conventional lighting. Imagine the savings if this was implemented for all road lighting? Lets make 2018 the year we make positive change for a worthy cause!
