1400 Supporters!!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us in this journey! You are all amazing and awesome! I cannot express my gratitude enough! I was back out at the Ann and Sandy Cross Conservation area over the last couple of days and nights to see the meteor shower and to get some more video. On the way back into Calgary, I happened to see folks doing the install of the lighting along the ring road. This is the problem we are facing. This lighting is going to have a massive impact on the people, wildlife, education facilities and conservation areas for miles around. This lighting implementation needs to be stopped now before the excuse of "it is too expensive to change" is the new stand point. I again urge everyone to share the petition to garner more names and create up your own e-mail to send to Shannon Philips, Brian Mason and Rachael Notley asking them to rethink the lighting on the South West Ring Road. I think a seasons greetings to the politicians on the subject for them to receive upon their return from winter break is one of the most caring and loving gifts we can give to the people of the future. In the New Year, I plan to expand this campaign and am looking for peoples input and involvement now in the Facebook Group "Protecting The Dark Sky Around Calgary" (https://www.facebook.com/groups/146403756085814/) on how we can have a bigger impact.
