How many people have to die before Dr. Park's license is revoked?

The Issue

I urge you to support safe health care in Bakersfield and contact the Medical Board of California to make them accountable for the death of Demi Dominguez and her newborn son Malakhi.

We have a public health crisis here in Bakersfield.  Young women and mothers are dying and the government board that was created to protect us is not protecting us.  We elected you to help us in times of crisis.  Well, we are in crisis and we need you to step in to protect women in Bakersfield.  I need you to contact the Medical Board and demand that Dr. Arthur Park's license be revoked in order to protect your constituents.

Demi Dominguez died at 23 years old.  She was pregnant and was not feeling well when she went to our local hospital for medical care.  She had no idea that the doctor who was in charge of her care was responsible for the death of another 23-year-old woman and two babies.  Had she known of Dr. Park’s negligence, she would have walked out of that hospital and gone to another doctor.  But Demi did not have that right.  You don't have that right either.

Demi Dominguez was hospitalized for 16 hours and Dr. Park never examined her and discharged her without speaking to her.  Demi went home and died the next day of a seizure.  Her baby died 18 hours later.

The Medical Board recently gave Dr. Park a settlement deal involving the death of another 23-year-old woman when he forcibly removed her placenta and perforated her uterus and cervix.  She bled to death.  He only received probation and restrictions on his license for her death.

Young pregnant women in Bakersfield are fearful.  We need your leadership to protect women in Bakersfield.  Dr. Park has harmed at least 8 women and babies.  How many people have to die before Dr. Park's license is revoked?

Dr. Park is harming Bakersfield women.  Please stand up for our young mothers and babies and contact the Medical Board and demand that Dr. Park's license be revoked to ensure safe maternal health care in Bakersfield.
