Hello Shadyford Residents,

   This petition is to abolish the HOA over our community. Every year, since around 2015, we have been held accountable to pay close to $400 per year, per household, to cover community expenses. These expenses include $6,785.00 for lawn care, $4,475.00 for street lighting, about $4,500.00 for fees to pay the appointed third party over our HOA, along with $1,300.00 for insurance liability, and $100.00 for taxes. This means, with a total expense amount of $17,325.00 each year, a fourth of our money goes to a third party HOA management team that isn't one of our neighbors. Our HOA is not being handled directly by our direct board members, such as the President, Treasurer, Secretary. 

   If you have received multiple letters, regarding minor HOA violations, and are tired of feeling harassed, then please consider signing this petition. $400 every year, is money that could be saved or applied to other aspects of your home/property. 

   Our community does not have a dog park, a children's park, a clubhouse, extra parking space for visitors, a pool, or anything that warrants the fees that we have to pay every single year, only to feel like we can't do anything without permission. Our neighborhood should not feel like it's being operated by a corporation. We're a community of families and have developed respect and friendships with one another.

   All of our homes are nicely kept and deserve to reflect our own special touch, without ridicule. Please feel free to comment. Comments will help better state our reasons for wanting to follow through with this decision. Thank you for your time and consideration.
