Lowell High School will be closed for today and tomorrow—March 5th and 6th—because a relative of a student has contracted COVID-19 or coronavirus. SFUSD has cancelled school for Lowell. SFUSD needs to cancel every school. While the student MAY not have contracted COVID-19, the student has made contact with and PERHAPS has passed it onto other students/teachers/people and those students/teachers/people could have passed it on to even more. SFUSD needs to cancel school. California and San Francisco are both in a state of emergency due to COVID-19 and SFUSD is ignoring that and not taking the right actions. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
