Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg: Promote *Positive* ALS Awareness In The Media

"From one man to another, I hope you get Lou Gehrig's disease."
-- Punchline in the movie "Ted"
If Seth MacFarlane wants to use Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, aka Lou Gehrig's Disease) as an insult that is widely repeated on social media by people who have no understanding of what ALS really is, then he owes the ALS Community some positive awareness in the media. ALS is a very serious disease that is virtually a medical secret despite having an incidence similar to Multiple Sclerosis. There are no effective treatments, largely because research is hampered by lack of funding due to the lack of awareness by the general public.
Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg: Come meet PALS, spend a few hours viewing their lives, and really understand the living hell that is Lou Gehrig's Disease. Then make up for turning it into a meaningless punchline by helping us spread the awareness that is so desperately needed.
