During these trying times, children are being exposed to how real the world is, and are turning to screen to distract themselves. While they are hiding as they look for security, the practices of LGBT+ are vocal and explored - and that is remarkable. Children deserve to learn that being apart of the LGBT+ community is okay not strange or scary, not stupid. 

YouTube is an emotional and dangerous place for children, but there are quite a few channels that strive to be inclusive for all sexualities and genders, races and walks of life - one of which is Thomas Sanders. Sanders is well known for his humour and his ability to tackle sensitive topics delicately. 

If children can see a kind and sensitive gay man help talk to them and characters that they know from their life experiences are just like them, the action will help the children develop a more nuanced view of others growing up. Sanders is the perfect role model, child friendly and supportive of all around him. 

To get him to talk to the characters on Sesame Street, a group that has forever been an incomparable tool for teaching the masses, we may see not only an immediate change, but a change in the next generation, and the generations moving forward into the future.
