Well, this is sad!  And this is NOT an April Fools joke!  Adam Schlesinger has just died due to complications with COVID-19.  He had been hospitalized and placed on a ventilator 2 weeks before his death.

He wrote some music for Sesame Street, including the theme song for the segment Elmo the Musical.  And in honor, here's the clip of the full-length Elmo the Musical segment, Mountain Climber the Musical:
