Separate Twitch Shirts program from Creator Program

The Issue

For years, thousands of dedicated Twitch streamers have consistently supported Dead by Daylight by streaming the game, building communities, and keeping the Fog alive — all without recognition. Twitch Shirts cosmetics are a way, to recognize Twitch streamers for their dedication and love for the game. The current system restricts these in-game cosmetics to members of Behaviour Interactive’s Creator Program "Gold Tier", which requires a minimum of 25 CCV on Twitch or 500 views on YouTube videos over the past 90 days. This also means, that if you get accepted into the program, by being eligible by YouTube numbers, you will get Twitch Shirts, cosmetic for a streaming platform that has nothing to do with YouTube.

Previously, there were following guidelines:

  1. Be a Twitch Affiliate or Partner
  2. Be an exemplary Dead by Daylight content creator in good standing with Twitch
  3. Have a displayed Dead by Daylight streaming schedule with a minimum of 20 dedicated hours per month

Following that, you needed to add # in your stream title/stream tags the "#ShirtMySurvivor" which was bit ineffective considering the big number of streamers streaming Dead by Daylight with the hashtag.

If you have obtained Twitch Shirts prior to these changes and are not in the Creator Program, you will no longer receive Twitch Shirts for the upcoming original characters. (Last Twitch Shirt you can have without being part of the Creator Program is for Orela Rose).

This is unfair towards creators, who received Twitch Shirts in the past. Twitch Shirts are meant to represent and reward Twitch streamers. Locking them behind a broad creator initiative that prioritizes social numbers — regardless of platform or actual Twitch presence — undermines the core spirit of what these cosmetics should represent.

In 2024, we were promised new guidelines regarding Twitch Shirts and the Twitch Charm. We were promised reworked guidelines, potentially, an application form of some sort. Instead, we received a reworked Fog Whisperer program, in form of "Creator Program".

The Dead by Daylight community is passionate, vocal, and built on streamers — large and small — who bring life to the game daily. We urge Behaviour Interactive and potentially Twitch, to decouple the Twitch Shirts reward from the Creator Program and instead create a fair, standalone path for Twitch streamers to earn these cosmetics based on consistent Dead by Daylight streaming activity.

Let Twitch Shirts represent Twitch streamers again.

My personal suggestions examples on how this could work:

Separate guidelines for Twitch Shirts program:

  1. Stream Dead by Daylight on Twitch.
  2. Stream DBD for at least 20 hours per month.
  3. Keep streaming DBD for 20 hours/month for 3 consecutive months.

Very simple, yet effective and fair guidelines.

OR

Bring back the same criteria with application form, instead of "#ShirtMySurvivor"

  1. Be a Twitch Affiliate or Partner.
  2. Be an exemplary Dead by Daylight content creator in good standing with Twitch.
  3. Have a displayed Dead by Daylight streaming schedule with a minimum of 20 dedicated hours per month.

ALTERNATIVE

Involve Twitch staff in handling Twitch Shirts exclusive cosmetics. Via application form. (Not sure if this is possible).

Take these suggestions listed above as an example only. I personally have no experience in creating criteria or guidelines.

Update: Petition was updated on 22.12. 2025 due to update to the Creator Program and Tiers. We still did not achieve the goal just yet but we are getting close!
