Petition Update:
Formally requested that the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) immediately commission a comprehensive Trail User Safety Survey at Pocahontas State Park to address the extreme, escalating dangers of dual-use trails shared by cyclists and equestrians. I am also requested an urgent, live meeting with park leadership to discuss immediate, short-term mitigation strategies before another tragedy occurs.
Created a custom link also to better recognition.
Sent an email to Friends of PSP requesting to be added to board of directors meeting oct 20 and will enter the petition into the public record here. Also issued a call to arms for equestrians to attend and sign in to have their support documented in board minutes.
