Separate Adult Swim and Cartoon Network into separate Channels in the USA

The Issue

WHEREAS: Cartoon Network is a US-Based cable Television channel that launched on October 1st 1992 under the original ownership of Ted Turner, through Turner Broadcasting and later by AOL-Time Warner, Time-Warner, and currently owned by Warner Brothers/Discovery (WBD), under their The Cartoon Network Incorporated division of the Warner Brothers/Discovery Networks unit of WBD

WHERAS: Adult Swim, an adult programing block that is currently sharing with Cartoon Network in the United States, that launched on October 2nd, 2001, sharing the same ownership as Cartoon network since it's first broadcast, originally airing from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM Eastern time on Sunday and Thursday Nights, which later became Saturday and Sunday Nights the Following February, split into a Saturday Night block from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM, and the 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM block on Sundays.

WHERAS: Adult Swim eventually expanded to a five Nights a week in 2003, later six Nights per week in 2004, with the timeslot upped to 11 PM to 6:00 AM the next year (2005),

WHEREAS: Adult Swim was expanded to 10:30 PM to 6:00 AM and becoming, More importantly, a full time 7 day a week block in 2007, leading to expansions to start at 10:00 PM Eastern in 2009, and at the end of 2010, expanding to 9:00 PM, making the network run from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

WHERAS:  From 2014 to 2022, Adult Swim started at 8:00 PM (sometimes 9:00 PM), expanding to 10 hours per day in most cases.

WHREAS: The Cartoonio block of Cartoon network was launched in 2021, creating a toddler-time block (similar to Nick Jr and Disney Junior) which currently runs for 90 Minutes per day (7:30 AM to 9:00 AM)

WHERAS:  in 2022, Time Warner (Warner Brothers) and Discovery Networks joined together to form Warner Brothers-Discovery, creating a larger global conglomerate like what Disney-FOX did,

WHERAS: In 2023, Adult Swim was expanded to start at 7:00 PM Eastern time, officially airing more hours of the day than Cartoon Network.

WHERAS: The Checkered Past extension, While showing Old CN shows, is now a part of Adult Swim, meaning a 5:00 PM Start time, has resulted in possible concerns among some (Including yours truly) that CN May go extinct all together.

AND WHERAS: Adult Swim and Cartoon Network is being aired as separate Channels in Canada and Latin America.

NOW THEREFORTH: Given the situation stated, I, David M Vinot Jr, along with Cartoon Fans from the United States, both Modern and Classic, are creating/signing this petition, to urge WBD to separate Cartoon Network and Adult Swim into separate channels in the United States of America., through these three articles

Article 1: Grant Adult Swim their own channel, while making Cartoon Network as a 24 hour per day 7 days a week network, as it was originally intended to be when it was launched in 1992.

Article 2: Keep Cartoonio as it is for now, But eventually expand the block into being it's own channel further down the road (Similar to how Nick Jr and Disney Junior have done

Article 3: As for Boomerang: merge them with CN, or keep the channel as a vintage Cartoon channel, with more modern era Cartoons on CN, with some noteworthy Exceptions (Flintstones, Jetsons, Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes, Popeye, Tom and Jerry) to air on both channels.

THE OBJECTIVE GOALS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

ULTIMATELY: 1,000,000 (if i am super lucky)

IF I'm Lucky: 250,000

BASE GOAL: increasing increments of 1,000

This is where I would appreciate YOUR help. I can't get this to these goals on my own, So PLEASE, SHARE THIS with your social circles. whether it be through Reddit Communities, Facebook, Twitter (or X as it is now), Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Etc. Let's send a message to WB-Discovery that we the Cartoon Fans matter, and that there is enough for two maybe three separate networks so everyone can get what they want.

CLOSING STATEMENTS

In Closing, This is the only way I can see Cartoon Network staying alive at all. No longer can they keep sharing with Adult Swim, while the latter keeps getting more and more hours of the day. If that continues, Cartoon Network Will Most Definitely Go Extinct all together.

IF we the People can Unite, We can achieve anything.
