Thanks to your help and support we are now riding the wave. Please join and support the Electric Mountain Bike Association. We can not let our guard down as over 50 organizations opposed this order and I am sure will fight to have it overturned. Plus we still have lots of local state jurisdictions like OC Parks and Angeles Parks who are not honoring the spirit of California law AB 1096.
Lastly We have again demanded that Superintendent Craig Sap rescind his ban on ebikes in Angeles District Parks because his stated reason for his ban was to conform with adjacent land policies pursuant to a joint land management agreement which we obtained a copy of via a FOIA (Freedom of information act) request. That reason has now vanished. To read our scathing emailed letter to Superintendent Craig Sap from last night follow and like our E-MTBAssociation Facebook page where we have posted a copy of it.
Also we are presenting this petition to the OC Parks Board of Supervisors on Oct 3, 2019 at 7PM at OC Library - Katie Wheeler Branch 13109 Old Myford Rd., Irvine, CA 92602 714 669-8753. Members of the public can speak for 3 minutes each. You are welcome to attend to show your support for amending the new ordinance to allow low power assist ebikes in OC parks o bike trails.
